Be it a creative promotional campaign or a simple call to action, a good ad idea is sometimes hard to come by. Whatever the resources and efforts involved, your main goal should always be to communicate your company’s unique selling proposition (USP) efficiently. Learn how to automatically generate ad ideas with Copysmith!
1. Tell the AI generator the type of content you wish to create.
Click on the Ad Ideas template section. The name of the card is for your reference only and does not affect your generations.
2. Enter your company name, your target audience and a product description.
Add your company name.
Specify your target audience. A good idea is contingent on who you think will want to buy your product. You can target a demographic based on age, status, lifestyle, passions, and habits.
Add a company or product description, this will allow our AI to generate a set of unique ad ideas. We recommend 1 or 3 sentences that speak to your company or product’s objective and appeal.
3. Optimize your content by including several ad keywords (and keywords to avoid).
Include a few keywords (ideally 1–3) that will guide our AI in generating your ad ideas (i.e., main features of your product, details of your promotional campaign).
Additionally, you can indicate keywords to avoid that you DO NOT want appearing in your generations.
Copysmith will do the rest.
4. Click generate and await your ad ideas.
Click “Generate” and voila—you have a whole selection of ad ideas at your disposal.
Selecting an ad idea that works is a business milestone, and choosing the right one is critical. Ensure that your idea is conceptually related to your brand, so that your ad may properly incentivize your audience to act.
5. Select your favourite ad copy among the generations.
You can eliminate the entries you don’t want from the list. Click on the trash bin icon at the bottom of each generation, and the generation will be removed.
Clicking on the heart icon will place the choice on top of the list.
6. Collaborate with the AI tool by playing with the parameters and creating new ad ideas.
You can edit anything in the ad body including web address or locations to enhance the results. Additionally, you can even feed phrases Copysmith generated for you back into the left-hand side of the template.
Fun fact: when you upgrade to a paid account, we use your liking, editing, and deletion activity to fine-tune our model’s understanding of your writing style. So the more you use Copysmith, the closer to your writing style copysmithing becomes!
7. Share your ad ideas with your team.
You may want to discuss the ad ideas with your team, boss or manager to approve or reject them. To share your work with colleagues, click “Share copy.”
Your team can upvote and downvote generations.

8. Download your copy and repeat!
All the generations can be saved in CSV: an easy-to-use function that lets you add copy directly to your blog platform, web site, or editor tool. Click “Download all as CSV” on the top after you make the selection!
You can always go back to this campaign and generate more content with the same parameters. Feel free to regenerate new copy ideas by adding and deleting parameters, or start anew with a fresh card.
